In this project, We were put in a group of 6 with students from the DFTV course to create an installation for Newstead Abbey's Narnia Christmas celebration.

The first step in this process was research, we created mind maps, mood boards and drawings to begin our ideas generation

We then Started to Brainstorm ideas of what to make, we had a £50 Budget to go with however we could use offcuts of materials in the workshops.

We had two weeks to create 3 Lanterns, this time frame ensured that we all need to use our individual skills to work together and play to each persons strengths, In my case it would be the frame of the Lantern and how we could tackle getting light inside the lamp, and creating the shape of the lantern within the first week we had 3 lanterns built so we could start putting scenes inside them, after that the last thing for me to do would be to ensure the light will fit inside the lantern and ensure that the lid of the lantern would be a perfect fit,

Final Product In Newstead Abbey, The task was really hard because we didn't have enough time. The clock was ticking, making everything more challenging. We had to be quick and smart to get things done right. The time pressure made it tough, like trying to do a puzzle in a hurry. It wasn't just about figuring out the task, but also managing time well. The less time we had, the more difficult it became. Time was like an invisible force making everything harder, and we had to be on our toes to get through it.
